Establishment
Poutiri Trust was established in 1997 as an independent legal entity. The Board recognises that the key strengh of Poutiri Trust lies in building strong foundations of “Te Whare O Poutiri”. The foundation lay in its relationship with its matua base being Te Whanau Poutirirangiora a Papa and through this the connections it has to the numerous Iwi Maori throughout the Bay of Plenty region. These connections were in a health sense mandated and confirmed through the signing of the health accord between Te Whanau O Poutirirangiora a Papa and the Crown. |
