ICT Mobile Lab

The mobile lab consists of 15 Laptops, Satellite Dish and Modem and a Laser Printer. The lab can access the internet from virtually any location in Aotearoa thanks to Satellite Broadband technology. The mobile lab is accessed by the 9 physical sites in the Bay of Plenty when they require further laptops and broadband access for their community training programmes.

A key component to the ICT Project is to ensure sustainability of this project overtime and past the point of funding. Poutiri Trust and Waka Digital has developed a sustainable model where external organisations are able to hire the Mobile Lab to assist in the use of technology and satellite broadband technology.

Hire the Mobile Lab

Hireage of the Mobile Lab consists of the laptops and satellite technology as well as a technician who will arrive to your destination and setup the equipment and technology for you. The technician will also assist with any technical issues should this occur, and then at the completion of your day, pack down the equipment and return back to Tauranga.
