Poutiri Community Practices

Poutiri Community Practice trades as Owhata Surgery and acquired by Poutiri Trust February 2002. The Owhata Surgery is based in Rotorua and affiliates to the Rotorua PHO. The number of registered clients continues to grow with 6,327 client registrations at 30 June 2009.

The practice employs a Practice Manager, Angelah Heurea, five part time receptionists and five part- time nurses to support the administration and nursing services operating effectively. Dr John Armstrong, Dr Roz Wilson, Dr Grant Wilson, Dr Des Epp, Dr Nicky Sanky, Dr Nigel Evaes and Dr Ann Dibley are included in the team of doctors that provides high quality GP services to our clients.

Whakatane Medical Practices

Whakatane Medical Practice, known as Med Central, was acquired by Poutiri Trust in 2005.

The medical practice is based in Whakatane and affiliates to Te Ao Hou PHO. The number of registered clients at 30 June 2009 was 2,100. The Practice Manager is Amanda Wilson, and the Practice employs two part time receptionists, two part time nurses and two doctors.

Dr Tim Insull is the Operations Manager and also provides GP services at Whakatane, Waimana and Matahi for the Kohanga Reo project. Dr Sangita Bharatia is a Registrar and employed part time while undertaking GP training.

Rangiatea Solutions Ltd

Rangiatea Solutions was established in November 2001 to support Poutiri Trust in terms of training and development with the primary business being the contract held with Te Wananga o Aotearoa. Rangiatea Solutions is currently reviewing its strategic positioning as appropriate business opportunities emerge.
