WAIPU HAUORA

Waipu Hauora provides a Koroua /Kuia programme and Whanau Ora health services to Hungahungatoroa, Whareroa & Waikari Marae as well as the wider community of Matapihi.  Waipu Hauora is also part of the Ngati Kahu GP Clinic Satellite.  Health promotion and clinics are run weekly i.e. Asthma, Diabetes, GP Clinic, Hearing clinics etc.  Waipu Hauora work closely with the local kura & Kohanga reo by implementing injury prevention strategies, immunisation, waka taringa checks, B4 school checks, nutrition and mobility, and much more to ensure the well being of their pepi, and tamariki.  Waipu Hauora also provides services specific to Rangatahi i.e. sexual health, drug & alcohol awareness, HPV immunisation, fitness & mobility, nutrition classes, and smoking cessation, ITC cafe’ and just recently a Matapihi Rangatahi Programme.
