This relationship underpins Poutiri Trust as it goes about dealing with the government in the areas of funding and negotiation. Te Whānau Poutirirangiora ā Papa provides a pure Māori perspective and the strength of wide Iwi representation.  Together we strengthen the Māori voice on hauora issues for the Bay of Plenty.

Bay of Plenty District Health Board

The Bay of Plenty District Health Board awards Poutiri Trust a significant number of contracts each year. We meet at least quarterly at both management and Board levels to align strategies and maintain our relationship.

Lakes District Health Board

The relationship between Lakes District Health Board and Poutiri Trust is maintained through the contracts of our two Southern providers.

Ministry of Health

Poutiri Trust's communication with the Ministry of Health is through our relationships with the Māori Health Directorate, Te Kete Hauora and the Māori Innovations team within the Sector Capability and Implementation Directorate . There are also operational relationships with the Ministry in relation to a Disability Support Services contract.
