Innovation 'is something newly introduced', like a new way of designing a programme or delivering a service. Te Whare o Kenehi provides a seamless service between their hauora and hospital with referrals both ways.

They also promote their service through bush walks and collaboration with he Department of Conservation. They promote the sustainability of the Ngahere and identification of Rongoa Māori plants.
